Have you ever purchased something on Amazon.com that has a lot of positive reviews but turns out to be a horrible product? It’s possible that you got a defective unit, but it’s more probable that many or all of those glowing positive reviews are artificial.

Fakespot is a free service that uses AI to detect untrustworthy Amazon reviews. It analyzes all of the reviews for a particular product and is able to detect how many of those are “fake”, based on a number of factors. It is very simple to use, and is available for the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and has an excellent Chrome Plugin. The chrome plugin is my favorite. It shows all Fakespot grades for products across your entire product search page. See below.
